October is Breast Cancer Awareness month – we’re ready to go beyond awareness (beyond PINK) into action! Join us at any (or all!) of these Go Beyond Pink events in the month of October to support our mission and help us get social-emotional support to young women with breast cancer! OCTOBER 1 – Virginia Beer Co. H4TG brew launch party!
Our friends at the Virginia Beer Co. in Williamsburg have created an awesome brew for H4TG! It’s a pink-hued 5.2% abv Golden Ale brewed with hibiscus flowers, and they’re hosting a launch party October 1! Come out for fun and show your support!! 20% of gross sales from this collaboration release (plus a portion of taproom sales on 10/1) will be donated to H4TG. OCTOBER 2 – Old Dude’s Poker Run
Members, friends, volunteers and riders are invited to attend the pre-party at The Cowboy Grill (9 a.m.) and the after-party at Hampton Roads Harley Davidson across the street (4 p.m.). There will be raffles, a raffle drawing for a new Harley, live music, and lots of fun! Breakfast and dinner are available for purchase! More info is HERE. Volunteer/rider sign up is HERE.
OCTOBER 7 - Menchie's Fundraiser for H4TG!
Grab a pre-run/walk treat Thursday, Oct. 7, from 4-7 pm to celebrate the upcoming Run for the Hills event! We will be out at Menchie's in New Town with information about our Run, including ways to register or volunteer. A portion of all sales during the event will be donated to H4TG!
OCTOBER 9 - H4TG's RUN FOR THE HILLS!!
It's H4TG's annual run, in a whole new venue! Support the same great cause - getting social-emotional support to young women with breast cancer - by running a 5K or a 1-mile fun run in New Town, Williamsburg! Visit https://hereforthegirls.org/run to register or learn more!

OCTOBER 22 -- Burn Boot Camp Burn, Brews, and Boobs
Burn Boot Camp is hosting a fundraiser from 4 to 7pm on Oct. 22 at Billsburg Brewery in honor of Here for the Girls. There will be live music, food, brews, and some fun challenges and giveaways! Check out their fundraising page HERE!
OCTOBER 23 – Brewery Running Series/Alewerks1 Mile Run/Walk
Join us at Alewerks Brewing Company in Williamsburg on October 23rd from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a I Mile(-ish) course that starts and ends at this awesome brewery. Weave through the surrounding area at whatever pace you like; no matter what there’s a beer waiting for you at the finish line!
What’s included?! All participants receive a FREE craft brew from the brewery (included in the ticket) + get to take home a collectors pint glass or seasonal swag item from the Brewery Running Series + swag, goodies and giveaways from our partners and sponsors + a chance to win sweet door prizes and more free beer! Your registration also earns you an invitation to stick around and enjoy the day’s entertainment: live music, food trucks, local vendors, and fun with our sponsors.

OCTOBER 29 - Pure Barre Fundraiser
Attend a fitness class at Pure Barre on October 29th to help support Here for the Girls! There will be 4 in-studio fitness classes at Pure Barre Newport News and 3 in-studio fitness classes at Pure Barre Chesapeake. Enjoy a workout to fun music, snacks, and prizes! The suggested donation to attend a class is $25 and 100% of proceeds go directly to H4TG. OCTOBER 31 – CLUBWAKA Boos and Brews Cornhole Tournament

Williamsburg Police Department
The Williamsburg Police Department (WPD) is Going Beyond Pink again this year with the Pink Patch Project! The Pink Patch Project is a law enforcement public awareness campaign where departments across the country wear and sell pink versions of their patch to support breast cancer patients. New this year are Challenge Coins bearing the WPD’s insignia along with the Here for the Girls logo! The pink patches are $10 each and challenge coins are $20 each. All proceeds will benefit H4TG.
