This is a free community event that is being held to honor and encourage cancer survivors, their families, and to raise breast cancer awareness through the art of dance. This event is being hosted by Aggie Sweethearts and funded by Mei/Co. Dance.
The show will consist of works by Mei/Co. Dance, Open Sky Arts Collective, Ad Deum Dance Company, Talitha Dance Company, Company Abundance, and Mini Company from Suzanne’s School of Dance. They will wrap up the performance with a short talkback session and then a reception. Come ready for a night of bittersweet truth and beauty.
Mei/Co. Dance is a non-profit dance company from Houston, whose sole purpose is to give a voice to those struggling with cancer. The dancers connect one on one with cancer patients, survivors, caregivers, and families - providing an outlet for them to tell their stories and process through the many emotions and struggles associated with this terrible disease.
