May 2026: A Message from Our Executive Director

May 10, 2026

Dear Friends,

May is a month that carries deep meaning for our community. As we honor the women who fill our lives, we are reminded that behind every awareness ribbon is a real story.

In 2021, Jocelyn (Ms. May) stood beside her mother as she received a Stage IV breast cancer diagnosis. Weeks later, after a routine mammogram, Jocelyn received the same diagnosis herself, ER/PR+ HER2 breast cancer, at just 44 years old. In the midst of it all, she leaned on her faith, her humor, and her resilience. Her message to every woman is to "check those lemons, ladies!"

Our organization exists to ensure that no woman faces a breast cancer diagnosis without love, knowledge, and support! That work only continues because of you. There are so many ways to get involved this month. Every action, big or small, creates a ripple that reaches women who deserve to be seen, heard, and cared for.

If you're looking for a meaningful and lasting way to make a difference, we invite you to consider becoming a monthly sustainer. A monthly gift, at any amount,  gives us the stability to plan ahead, respond quickly to community needs, and show up for women like Jocelyn every single day. Sustainers are the backbone of our mission, and we would be honored to have you join that circle of dedicated supporters.

Together, we are more than an organization; we are a movement rooted in compassion, driven by courage, and committed to the belief that early detection and community support save lives.

Healthy Hugs,
Chris Schwab + The H4TG Team
