Educational Event: Heart Health

Here for the Girls is partnering with VCU Massey Cancer Center to host a virtual heart health panel, Have Heart for Your Heart, to spread awareness and education about how to establish heart-healthy habits. The panel will feature:

Arnethea Sutton, PhD,  Postdoctoral Fellow, Department of Health Behavior and Policy and VCU Massey Cancer Center, expertise focuses on identifying causes of racial disparities in survivorship, with a particular focus on treatment-related cardiovascular toxicities.  

Alex Lucas, PhD, Division of Cardiology, VCU Pauley Heart Health Center & Department of Health Behavior and Policy, expertise focuses on the design and delivery of behavioral lifestyle programs (physical activity, sedentary behavior, nutrition, stress management) to manage long-term health and quality of life among populations with chronic disease.

Samantha Haswell, MS, RD, Clinical Dietitian at Massey Cancer Center, assists patients with all types of cancer in managing their symptoms during cancer treatment, preventing malnutrition, and maintaining a healthy diet following cancer treatment and into survivorship
